A deaf man is well and truly trying his luck after he filed a lawsuit against adult porn site PornHub for not providing closed captioning on their videos.<\/p>\n

According to Yaroslav Suris, who has been deaf since birth, the site is making it harder for the deaf community to enjoy. Here\u2019s what Yaroslav Suris had to say about it:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s denied the deaf and hearing-impaired access to its videos that others can easily enjoy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Here\u2019s what Yaroslav Suris\u2019 lawyer had to say:<\/p>\n

Suris says a lack of closed captioning violates their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You might be wondering why anyone would need closed captioning for porn movies considering there\u2019s never actually a plot or storyline to follow, but I guess I\u2019m not the right demographic, and tbf, everyone is entitled to enjoy porn.<\/p>\n

Also mentioned in the court documents are some of the video titles that Yaroslav Suris wanted to watch, such as \u2018Hot Step Aunt Babysits Disobedient Nephew,\u2019 \u2018Sexy Cop Gets Witness to Talk,\u2019 and \u2018Allison comes to Talk About Money to Her Boys’ Naughty Father\u2019, are just a few of the movies he\u2019d like closed captioning for, among others. Yikes, I\u2019d be pretty mortified if someone read out the porn I liked to watch in the middle of a court room, but then again I watch some proper grimy shit. His stuff seems pretty vanilla.<\/p>\n

Suris says that loads of people in the deaf community would happily pay extra for a premium Pornhub account but he doesn\u2019t see the point if they can\u2019t understand the plot of the films.<\/p>\n

Yaroslav Suris is now suing PornHub for an undisclosed amount and insists they add closed captioning. PornHub haven\u2019t yet responded to the case but I hope they don\u2019t give this money-grabbing twanny a penny. If it\u2019s truly about the closed captioning surely he\u2019d just ask for it to be implemented and not try to shaft the company for money. It\u2019s totally fair to ask for closed captioning but seeking damages just takes the piss.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re not quite sure yet how the case is going to go but I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if he gets a pay off. It\u2019s usually cheaper for the company to pay out than go through the drawn out and expensive court process. Time will tell!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
