Babestation star Sabrina Jade didn’t know she was attracted to women until she became a stripper. Now, she only works at gay strip nights and has successfully launched a pole show that brings dancers and members of the LGBTQIA+ community together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 28-year-old model recently opened up about her journey, revealing that women are just as keen to enjoy lap dances in the right environment, and explaining why creating safe spaces for sexual exploration is so incredibly important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Growing up, Sabrina assumed she was straight simply because everyone around her seemed to be. She spent years without a boyfriend, instead forming intense connections with a series of close best friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her perspective shifted dramatically when she moved to Brighton. Struggling financially, she joined a local strip club hoping to make ends meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I thought I would join a strip club and make loads of money, but in my first week I was like, ‘So, I’m not making loads of money, and I also think I might be gay,'” she shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Surrounded by women in their underwear, the playful flirting sparked a sudden realisation. When girls would flirt with her during double dances, she admits she couldn’t even act. She would go into a panic and wonder what it all meant. Fortunately, her fellow dancers provided a supportive environment. One friend even offered to navigate the experience with her, making the entire journey of self-discovery feel completely normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the pandemic forced strip clubs to close, Sabrina found herself sofa-surfing. That was when Babestation reached out to her on Instagram, a message that ultimately changed the trajectory of her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Babestation changed a lot for me because it gave me stable wages, control over my timetable and the freedom to put my whole heart into competitions and activism work,” she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She credits the platform and the wider adult industry for being incredibly accepting of different identities. She notes that whenever she talks to people at Babestation, nobody is ever judgemental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, Sabrina identifies as pansexual, explaining that she connects to brains and personalities first. She is on a mission to give others the same freedom to explore their sexuality in a welcoming, judgment-free environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her LGBTQIA+ pole show and the inclusive venues where she performs are designed to do exactly that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“My general life purpose is trying to show that all these things aren’t scary, queer people aren’t scary and I’m not scary,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She notes that women are often drawn to LGBTQIA+ venues specifically for the safety they provide. In a queer space, attendees can use whatever pronouns they want and kiss whoever they choose without fear.
