Olivia Eden’s Age-Gap Marriage
Olivia attracted national press attention after speaking openly about her marriage to her 63-year-old husband. At 31, Olivia is 32 years younger than her partner, who is older than both of her parents. In an interview with the Daily Star, she defended their relationship against online criticism and explained why she has always preferred older men.
Olivia met her husband when she was 22, and the couple became engaged just three weeks later. Despite her husband being older than both of her parents—and his three children all being older than Olivia—she says the age difference has never been important within their relationship.
She believes older partners offer the manners, confidence and traditional sense of chivalry that she finds attractive. Olivia also dismissed the judgement directed at age-gap couples, arguing that outsiders concentrate too much on the number rather than whether the people involved are happy.
