Babestation model and content creator Louise London, 30, is using her platform to speak out about the critical risks associated with unregulated cosmetic procedures, sharing her personal experience with a botched liquid Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). Her powerful story serves as a crucial warning about the non-surgical trend that is currently unregulated in the UK.

Louise’s decision to go public was cemented after reading about the tragic death of a British mother-of-five following the same procedure. “It made me so sad… and it also brought back harrowing memories from my own experience,” she shared, prompting her to detail the near-fatal consequences of her treatment.

The Immediate Danger

In January of this year, Louise underwent the procedure, which involves injecting dermal fillers into the backside. She subsequently suffered from unbearable pain, extreme swelling, and high fever, leading to an emergency hospital transfer. Doctors found her heart rate was dangerously high and she was presenting signs of sepsis.

A plastic surgeon later informed Louise that she had been injected with an excessive and unsafe amount of filler (400ml, instead of a recommended maximum of 200ml). This critical error led to an emergency surgery to drain the infection, requiring a week-long hospital stay.

“I am so upset and angry at how it was sold to me,” Louise stated, highlighting the lack of clear, medically sound advice she received beforehand. The trauma later resulted in further complications, necessitating the fitting of a stoma bag and the diagnosis of MRSA.

Resilience and Advocacy

Louise has since recovered physically, but the experience has left permanent scarring and nerve damage, along with a significant impact on her mental well-being, for which she is receiving counselling. To reclaim her body and narrative, Louise has since had a large tattoo done to cover the surgical scars—a symbol of her resilience.

Beyond the physical cost, the trauma resulted in substantial emotional and financial consequences, including missed work and significant expenses for medical appointments and mental health support.

Louise’s message to fans and the public is clear and unambiguous: “If you’re thinking of having any cosmetic procedures make sure you research the treatments themselves and the various clinics that offer them.”

She urges people to “Always go with a reputable medically trained practitioner” and strongly advises against the liquid BBL procedure altogether: “I would not advise anyone to have a liquid BBL at all—the risks far outweigh the good.”
