Babestation Babe of the Month 2018

Babe of the Month Becomes a Babestation Tradition

The 2018 winners reflected the growing strength of the Babestation line-up. New faces such as Saskia Jade and Daisy Dillon quickly became viewer favourites, while established performers including Tanya, Tara T and Beth Bennett demonstrated why they had become such important members of the Babestation family.

The year also marked an important milestone in the history of the award, with Tanya becoming the first performer to win Babestation Babe of the Month twice.

Babestation in 2018

Away from the monthly awards, 2018 proved to be one of the most memorable years in Babestation's history, with the channel making headlines for reasons few could have predicted.

The Babestation Studio Infiltration

In April 2018, Babestation became the subject of one of the year's most talked-about internet pranks when YouTube prankster Adam "Digit" Davis managed to gain access to the company's London studios during a live broadcast.

The stunt involved Davis hiding inside a large cardboard box while an accomplice, dressed in a high-visibility jacket, delivered the package into the building, claiming it was "heavy and fragile."

Once left alone, Davis cut his way out of the box, walked through the studios and onto a live Babestation set before spraying two presenters with Silly String during the broadcast.

The footage quickly went viral and generated widespread media coverage. Although many viewers saw it as a humorous prank, the incident exposed weaknesses in studio security and raised understandable concerns about performer safety.

It was also the second time Davis had entered the studios. Several months earlier he had reportedly gained access by posing as an internet technician carrying a ladder before interrupting another live broadcast.

The second incident prompted a review of security procedures and became a talking point both inside and outside the company. Such was the concern that even one of Babestation's investors contacted management directly to question how an unauthorised visitor had been able to reach a live television set.

Looking back today, it remains one of the most extraordinary moments in Babestation's broadcasting history.

Babestation at Bristol Rovers

Just a few months later, Babestation unexpectedly found itself making headlines again.

During half-time of Bristol Rovers' Carabao Cup match against Crawley Town in August 2018, Babestation suddenly appeared on television screens inside the Memorial Stadium clubhouse.

The unexpected broadcast caused surprise among supporters and quickly spread across social media. Bristol Rovers launched an investigation after the incident, with the club suggesting that someone may have exploited a vulnerability in the newly installed television system.

The story was reported by news outlets around the world, while rivals Bristol City jokingly claimed that their own stadium televisions were protected by parental controls.

For Babestation, it was another reminder that the channel had become part of British popular culture, capable of making headlines even when nobody expected it.
