Babestation Apprentice: Beth Bennett and the Search for a New Babestation Star
Babestation has never been afraid to experiment with new live babeshow formats, and one of the more unusual ideas from the early 2010s was Babestation Apprentice.
Launched on Babestation Blue in February 2012, the concept was simple: bring in relatively unknown models, put them on screen together and see which girls could make enough of an impression to earn a place on the main Babestation shows.
More than a decade later, the most interesting thing about Babestation Apprentice is not how long it lasted, but the talent it helped uncover. Among the performers associated with the show were Lacey Lorenzo, Nicolle Knight, Carla Mai, Nikita Luan, Olivia Bond and, most notably, Beth Bennett.
What Was Babestation Apprentice?
Babestation Apprentice arrived during a particularly experimental period for the UK babeshows.
Babestation Blue was being used to try different formats and concepts alongside shows such as Masti Chat, Sexstation and Dirty Wives. Apprentice took that experimentation in a different direction by focusing on new talent.
The show first went to air on the night of 2–3 February 2012.
Rather than relying entirely on established Babestation names, Apprentice gave lower-profile and relatively unknown models an opportunity to perform on television and prove that they could attract viewers.
Audience reaction also mattered. Fans could discuss the girls online and effectively help determine which newcomers appeared capable of progressing further within Babestation.
It was not a formal competition in the style of the BBC's The Apprentice. In practice, the girls still had to do what every successful babeshow performer has always had to do: stand out on screen, attract callers and persuade viewers to keep watching.
Beth Bennett: From Babestation Apprentice to Babestation Legend
The clearest success story to come out of Babestation Apprentice is Beth Bennett.
Beth moved to the UK from New Zealand on a two-year working visa after completing university studies that had taken her from an initial interest in law into theatre and media, followed by postgraduate study in marketing management.
Her original ambitions were very different. As a child, Beth dreamed of becoming a police officer, and at university she initially took the subjects that would allow her to continue into law. She eventually decided law was not for her and moved towards performance, media and marketing instead.

After arriving in Britain, Beth's career took another unexpected turn.
While channel-hopping late at night, she came across Babestation and saw a recruitment advert asking viewers whether they had what it took to become a "Babe".
Beth applied and joined the Babestation Apprentice scheme in 2012.
At the time, she regarded it as something she might do during the two years she intended to spend living in the UK. Instead, what began as a temporary job became one of the longest-running careers associated with modern Babestation.
From Apprentice to the Main Babestation Shows
Beth was not the only performer to progress.
Carla Mai and Nikita Luan both moved from the first Babestation Apprentice show onto other Babestation programmes.
Lacey Lorenzo also became one of the more successful Apprentice discoveries and later established herself as a significant name on the main Babestation schedule.
Nicolle Knight similarly moved on from Apprentice to the wider Babestation line-up.
That progression was effectively the whole point of the format.
The Apprentice show allowed Babestation to test new performers in front of a real television audience before deciding which girls might be capable of working regularly on bigger shows such as Babestation 1, Babestation Xtra, Babenation and BSX.
A Different Kind of Babeshow
The format was visually different from many traditional one-girl babeshow performances.
At times, three performers would share the same bed or set, all attempting to attract attention simultaneously.
That created plenty of energy, although not every viewer liked the competitive atmosphere.
One contemporary description compared the visual effect to three women effectively shouting "look at me" through their body language.
That criticism also explains what made Apprentice distinctive. The show was less about creating a slow individual fantasy around one established performer and more about seeing which newcomer could command the screen.

The Girls Who Came Through Babestation Apprentice
The Apprentice era introduced or helped develop a number of performers who subsequently appeared elsewhere on Babestation.
These included:

Lacey Lorenzo
Nicolle Knight
Carla Mai
Nikita Luan
Olivia Bond

Some received trials on larger shows before disappearing from the channels, while others moved between Babestation and rival babe channels including Elite TV, Studio 66, Red Light Central and Xpanded.
That was typical of the babeshow industry during the period, when performers frequently moved between channels and broadcasters.
Beth Bennett: The Apprentice Who Became a Babestation Legend
Looking back, Beth Bennett is what gives Babestation Apprentice its strongest legacy.
The programme was designed to discover new talent capable of progressing onto the main Babestation shows.
Beth did considerably more than that.
She became one of the performers most strongly associated with Babestation itself.
Her career subsequently extended across television, online video, live shows and other Babestation content, making the contrast between the unknown Apprentice contestant and the established Babestation personality particularly striking.

For anyone discovering Beth through her more recent Babestation appearances, Apprentice provides an interesting glimpse at where that long association began.
From Babestation Apprentice to Babestation Academy
Babestation Apprentice did not remain on air for long.
Despite producing several well-received new performers, the format was eventually replaced in early 2013 by Babestation Academy.
But its relatively short lifespan does not make it insignificant.
Babestation Apprentice represents an interesting period when the UK babeshows were experimenting heavily with formats and actively searching for new personalities.
