A former competitive showjumper has revealed how surviving a near-fatal horse-riding accident and a medically induced coma gave her the ultimate courage to change careers and become a Babestation star. Speaking on the Option One Podcast, Kasey Aims opened up about her traumatic head injury, her intensive nine-week hospital recovery, and how cheating death completely cured the anxiety that had previously held her back from entering the adult entertainment industry.
Before finding her calling on screen, Kasey’s life revolved around equestrian sports. Her trajectory changed instantly during a freak accident on a yard, where she was kicked directly in the head while bringing two horses in from a field.
The impact was so severe that it caused her brain to swell rapidly, forcing doctors to place her into a temporary coma and perform emergency surgery to insert a brain drain. When she woke up, surgeons revealed just how close she had come to permanent damage, explaining that a loose bone fragment had stopped less than a millimetre from her optic nerve.
While the trauma caused her brain to block out the memory of the event, Kasey was left with a visible eyebrow scar and ongoing migraines, alongside a new outlook on her own mortality:
“One of the little fragments was less than a millimetre from my optical nerve. I know I’ve cheated death. What happened to me was such a freak accident. It does make you think life’s so short. Do what you want.”
Turning Trauma into Personal Confidence
Despite holding a university degree in psychology and cyber psychology, Kasey found herself struggling to find her footing in that field after her recovery. She had harboured a secret dream of working in the adult industry and stripping for years, but she had always been held back by crippling self-doubt and anxiety.
Realising that life was too short to live with regrets, she decided to take a chance by signing up for a local pole fitness class. She immediately fell in love with performing, which paved the way for her to work as an exotic dancer, transition into camming, and eventually land her dream role as a prominent Babestation model.
Finding a Supportive Community
Now thriving in her new career, Kasey has absolutely no regrets about taking the leap. She credits the warm, welcoming environment of the studio for helping her overcome her initial nerves on set, and she urges others not to let the fear of public opinion stop them from pursuing their goals.
Reflecting on her journey and the industry she now calls home, Kasey shared:
“Everyone here is so great. I think that’s what really helped me when I first started because I was nervous, but everyone was just so lovely. People are going to judge you no matter what you do. You may as well do what you want. That’s exactly what I’m doing.”
