A trio of popular Babestation presenters have successfully raised nearly £2,250 for an international animal welfare charity following a sponsored coastal walk in Essex. Babestation Models Jess West, Bri Olivia, and Michelle Moist braved intense summer temperatures in Frinton-on-Sea to complete the “Kennels to Coast” walk. Their collective efforts have more than doubled the financial total raised during the previous year’s inaugural event.
All proceeds from the campaign are being donated directly to Pawprints to Freedom, a registered charity dedicated to rescuing stray dogs from high-risk shelters and abusive situations in Romania. The organisation provides frontline medical care and rehabilitation before securely re-homing the animals with families across the United Kingdom.
The initiative was spearheaded by veteran presenter Jess West, who has previously used her platform to write about the charity and her own personal experiences fostering rescue dogs for national publications like the Daily Star. Reflecting on the public turnout and the success of the fundraiser, West stated:
“I did it as it was a great cause and lots of fun raising money for a charity that needs help. Seeing these dogs get help from these donations makes it all worthwhile, and the pups all got ice creams, too.”
Mobilising Global Audiences for Grassroots Causes
The campaign highlights how modern independent creators are successfully leveraging their large digital networks to drive tangible support for charitable organisations. The online GoFundMe campaign rapidly generated £2,096 from fans and supporters, with manual offline donations pushing the final collective total to nearly £2,250.
Michelle Moist, who joined the coastal walk to help pivot public attention toward animal advocacy, commented on the importance of real-world activism:
“I wanted to make a difference and bring awareness to the charity, to do something different and I love dogs! I wanted to use my following to do something good.”
Her studio colleague, Bri Olivia, echoed the sentiment, praising the demanding work executed by the rescue organisation’s UK and international volunteers:
“It was an absolute honour to walk for this incredible charity and the beautiful dogs they have, they all work so hard to give these dogs a new start. I’m so happy I could be part of it, to help give them a little something back. I’m a huge dog and animal lover and my heart feels very full today for such a wonderful cause.”
Sustained Educational and Rehabilitation Support
Beyond immediate frontline rescue operations, the funding will help support Pawprints to Freedom’s long-term systemic strategy. The charity actively operates localized educational campaigns and structured spaying initiatives within local communities to manage the stray population at its root.
Additionally, the organisation maintains dedicated sanctuary facilities within the UK. These specialised kennels provide a secure, therapeutic environment where severely traumatised and shut-down dogs can safely rehabilitate, recover their confidence, and flourish before being matched with permanent domestic homes.
