Georgie Darby first appeared on Babestation way back in 2009. Sixteen-plus years, several babe channels, countless shows and a frankly impressive amount of filthy chat later, she’s getting ready to bow out, and we’re very sorry about that. But before we start getting all emotional, there’s a farewell show to enjoy, and if you know Georgie, you’ll know it’s unlikely to be a quiet one.
From Lads’ Mags to Babestation
Georgie wasn’t exactly a stranger to a camera when she arrived at Babestation. Before the cheap phone sex calls and late-night TV, she was already making a name for herself as a glamour model, appearing in some of the biggest men’s magazines of the era, including Zoo, Nuts and Playboy. An underwear shoot with well-known glamour photographer Alan Strutt helped land Georgie her first major magazine contract, and the rest, as they say, is history.
There was just one small problem when she started at Babestation in 2009. She’d barely even heard of the place. Georgie has spoken about wondering how on earth she was going to keep a conversation going with callers for an entire night. Turns out, she needn’t have worried.
A Georgie Darby Show Was Never Going To Be Boring
Georgie very quickly worked out that she was rather good at this babeshow lark. Yes, she had the glamour. Petite, huge natural tits, killer cheekbones and the sort of face that could probably cut glass. But plenty of women had the looks. Georgie had the personality. One of the things that makes Georgie’s career particularly interesting is just how much the industry has changed around her. She started during the golden age of lads’ mags and televised babeshows, when a glamour model could become a household name from a magazine cover and a regular appearance on late-night telly. Then the internet came along and changed the whole game.
Rather than disappearing with the old-school glamour industry, Georgie adapted. She built a huge following across social media and OnlyFans, giving her the freedom to create her own content and speak directly to the people who had followed her career for years. More than 250,000 people now follow her across her various social platforms. Not bad for someone who was once wondering what the hell she was going to talk about on a phone line all night.
Sixteen Years Is A Bloody Long Time
