Vegas strip club accepts bitcoin
A strip club in Las Vegas has just announced that it will now be accepting Bitcoin payments to their dancers using the Lightning Network. The club has said it’s move to accept Bitcoin is to enable faster transactions but let’s face it, it’s probably so the club can empty a customers crypto wallet after it’s rinsed the dude’s bank account and credit cards. The payments will be processed on a “layer 2” payment protocol designed to be layered on top of blockchain-based cryptocurrencies.
The famous Crazy Horse 3 is the first ever strip club to adopt this method of payment and it has partnered up with payment processor OpenNode, which enables guests to purchase “VIP bottle packages with Bitcoin online,” the club’s website states:
“Guests will also be able to purchase admission tickets, buy food and drinks, and tip entertainers.”
The club is currently pushing customers to pay with Bitcoin via The Lightning Network because apparently it is a “much better system than cash or card because payments are quick, secure, and private.” Hmm, I mean it’s all well and good and all, especially for those who would rather use it so their wives or girlfriends don’t see what they’re splashing their money on but can you imagine tipping a stripper £100 worth of Bitcoin and then the value increases to £10k. You’d be pretty livid wouldn’t you?! Surely making it rain with cold hard cash is what the strip club is all about?! Here’s what the club’s publicist Lindsay Feldman had to say about it all: “We are embracing the opportunity to accept Bitcoin as a way to deliver convenience, first-class hospitality, and an added level of anonymity for our guests.“
It does sound pretty good tbf. I bet our babes would be more than happy to accept Bitcoin as payment on Babestation TV and Babestation Cams!
