Without doubt one of the most impactful entrances of a babe channel onto Freeview was that of Babestation 2. In the early hours of Friday 28th August 2009, the Freeview babe channel options experienced an unprecedented growth, with no fewer than three additions to the existing shows going live. Joining Babestation 1 and Partyland on the terrestrial EPG were a revival of Party Girls, a short-length version of Party People, and of course the snarlin’, ass-kickin’, rule-pushin’ babe haven that was… Babestation 2. The number of babeshows available to the Freeview audience had more than doubled, literally overnight.
The first BS2 Freeview broadcast was introduced by Amanda Rendall and Michelle Moist. Interestingly, this was also Michelle’s debut on the Freeview night time babe shows. She was fresh from the Sexstation Web service, but made a big impact on the Freeview shows forward from this landmark night. The first frame after the opening video sequence showed only Michelle, with the camera then zooming out to include Amanda. There was a party atmosphere, complete with balloons.
Babestation 2’s original opening featured, (in order of appearance), Paige Tyler, Tiffany Chambers, Rachel Cole, Reede Fox, Yvette Merriman, Dani O’Neal and Lori Buckby. But the inclusion of UK babe Reede was particularly interesting because she was a Partyland girl, and the Partyland girls had never previously featured in a Babestation intro sequence. Even though the two shows would broadcast from separate studios for a few more days, this (along with the inclusion of Alex Adams in the new opening sequence to Party Girls) was the clearest signal so far that Partyland and Babestation were reaching the conclusion of a full merger.
POV footage defined the early Babestation 2 Freeview shows, and the camerawork was excellent – some of the best I’ve seen on any babe channel.
THE FIRST MONTH: PERSONNEL SCHEDULE
As an insight into the personnel employed on Babestation tv 2 during its first month of Freeview shows, I’ve compiled a quick schedule. The show normally featured just two babes, but this could change according to requirements across the channels.
