Babestation set used in Oscar Winning film, The Kings speech
Babestation has been referenced in many a mainstream TV shows, podcasts and magazines over the years. Comedians such as Frank Skinner and Jimmy Carr have all dropped Babestation’s name in their comedy skits, but did you know that A-list actor and Academy Award Winner Geoffrey Rush has mentioned us?! Okay, maybe not directly but he did discuss, in detail I might add, how his movie ‘The King’s Speech’ was made into a porn parody, created by Babestation, titled ‘The King’s Piece’.
Geoffrey Rush appeared on the Graham Norton Show in 2010 to promote ‘The King’s Speech’ and he revealed to the audience that he had heard of a porn parody that was actually shot in the exact location that the original film was shot. Yup! ‘The King’s Piece’ was a porn parody of the Oscar-winning film, The King’s Speech and what started out as a bit of a laugh between the Babestation production team, ended up gaining a lot of traction and received a lot of media attention. ‘The King’s Piece’ was filmed in the same London location as the original film, and tells the story of King, a male porn star who must overcome his fear of performing naked on camera. Babestation cast their top performers in the movie including First Lady of Babestation, Dani O’Neal, along with glamour model Paige Tyler and pornstar Michelle Moist. The director of ‘The King’s Piece’ took a lot of care in making sure the parody film mirrored the scenes from the original movie, which included filming on the sofa with the iconic backdrop from the original film where Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth stood.
